Frescoes of Quebec
The Commission de la Capitale nationale du Québec is involved in the creation of murals illustrating history. Three works have been completed in the nation's capital. In Place Royale, the Fresque des Québécois takes center stage at the foot of Côte de la Montagne. Relive the history of Quebec City in a series of true-to-life scenes. Near the western end of rue du Petit Champlain, discover life in one of the historic houses through the years. This fresco also illustrates the spirit of cooperation that makes Quebecers so strong. In the Saint-Roch district, take a detour and admire the pillars that support the Dufferin-Montmorency autoroute, along boulevard Charest near the Gare du Palais. A number of landscapes will impress you with their attention to detail and color.
