Maison de la culture Innue

Tshima minu takushiniek! (Welcome!) La Maison de la Culture Innue is a gathering place created for and by the community of Ekuanitshit (Mingan). It showcases the culture and way of life of the Innu people — caribou hunters, salmon fishers, and wild berry gatherers. This unique and innovative space includes a museum exhibit and promotes authentic intercultural and intergenerational exchange, highlighting the skillful work of Indigenous artisans featured in the boutique. Visitors can also hear Innu-aimun, the Innu language, spoken and sung.
