Maison J.-A. Vachon

The Maison J.-A. Vachon, located in Sainte-Marie, is the ancestral home of Vachon snack cakes. Accompanied by a tour guide, you will learn how this resourceful family from a modest background worked hard so their company would prosper. A visit to the residence, classified as a historic monument, will take you back to the time when Rose-Anna would make her goodies on the wood stove. You will also discover her first recipe book – the very one she used to record the recipes for her snack cakes as she created them. The tour finishes with a video on the history and production of the snack cakes at the factory, and, of course, one snack cake per visitor.
