Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent

The Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent in Rivière-du-Loup is a must-see attraction in the region, featuring temporary exhibitions of contemporary Quebec art. In addition, its permanent exhibition, People and landscape, presents the history, people, and culture of the region through 500 photographs drawn from the museum’s photographic archive collection, while highlighting the unique natural and cultural characteristics of the Bas-Saint-Laurent and showcasing the evolution of the landscape and the people who inhabit and bring it to life. New for 2026: The Museum also invites you to discover the city of Rivière-du-Loup in a new way by taking part in the public art tour, Intervalle. Whether on a guided tour or on your own, on foot or by electric bike, set out to discover some forty works of public art scattered throughout the city.
