Magog River Gorge Walkway

Generating mechanical then hydroelectrical energy, the Magog River gorge is the cradle of Sherbrooke’s industrial development. It’s located in the heart of downtown and its network of museums and linked to the Lac-des-Nations Boardwalk. Footbridges overhang the dams, and paths were built to increase the natural quality of the area. Observation lookouts allow visitors to admire the exceptional panorama. While exploring the area, stop for a picnic on the Frontenac station patio, the oldest hydroelectric installation still in operation in Quebec.
