Sentiers Tolba et Koak
The Tolba and Koak Trails in Odanak provide an immersion into nature and W8banaki culture. The 2.2 km Tolba Trail, accessible from the Musée des Abénakis, winds through a forest bordering the Saint-François River, featuring interpretive panels on wildlife, flora, and medicinal plants. It connects to the 700 m Koak Trail, a pine forest path accessible by wheelchair. Both trails are free, open year-round, and welcome leashed dogs. It's recommended to wear bright colors or a vest, especially at dawn and dusk, for the safety of hikers and hunters. In summer, insect repellent is advised due to nearby wetlands.
