Festival Folifrets Baie-James

Festival Folifrets Baie-James is a unique snowmobile competition that has been held in Chibougamau, in the northern part of Quebec, for over 50 years. Two major activities make this event famous across Canada. First there's the "president's ride", with close to 650 participants, some of which put on fun costumes, taking on the challenge and trying to score points! Then there's the "Cross-Country", an endurance race that welcomes some of the best recreational snowmobile racers in Quebec over 345 kilometres, through the boreal forest. The whole city follows the rhythm of this festival during the ten days of the event!
