Le Gourmand: a circuit to suit all tastes
Specially designed for lovers of the land and the bounty it provides, the Gourmand circuit offers three days of wine, food and cultural discoveries. First stop: Vignoble du Ruisseau, a family estate nestled in an enchanting setting, which also serves as a distillery, cider mill, maple grove and restaurant.
The next day, continue your journey to Vignoble de la Bauge, where organic wines pair perfectly with homemade terrines and charcuterie. End your stay in Brome Lake, a town renowned for its inns, restaurants and rich cultural program, as well as for the beauty of its natural environment. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to stop at several other vineyards, visit pretty villages, and (why not!) take a relaxing break at the spa!
Biking along the Wine Route
The Cycling Route is an unforgettable experience for those who love both fine food and riding. Four circuits allow you to discover the region at your own pace.
La doyenne des vignes bike circuit starts in Frelighsburg, one of Quebec’s most beautiful villages, and plunges you into the heart of the Eastern Townships’ winegrowing core. Stretching over 76 kilometres of mostly asphalt, the itinerary offers some challenging climbs that will put your calves to the test. As a reward, you’ll have the opportunity to visit five of the region’s vineyards.
For the complete immersion, extend your stay in one of the many Bienvenue cyclistes! certified accommodations along the route.
The Wine Route for those who crave what’s local
Beyond its vineyards, the Wine Route abounds in “Friends,” hidden treasures such as lodgings, restaurants, agricultural producers, art galleries and boutiques that will delight lovers of gourmet pleasures. Start by exploring local cideries, where apples are transformed into exceptional ciders and spirits. Beer fans won’t be left out either, with a constellation of microbreweries offering craft beers with complex flavours.
Continue the gustatory adventure at Les Cocagnes or Espace Old Mill, two Tables ChampêtresTM, where farm-fresh produce is sublimated into tasty dishes, served in a warm, rustic setting. Add to this a number of artisanal cheese dairies, and you’ve got the perfect itinerary to satisfy every craving!
