The Club Lac des Sables et Paradis outfitter: for a memorable fishing trip

Easily accessible via only 4 km of forest roads, the site boasts around 50 small lakes teeming with brook trout—you can book an outing on their crystal waters as soon as you arrive. There are also two large bodies of water, Des Sables Lake and Paradis Lake, which are home to Arctic char, also known as Quebec red trout. Keep in mind that the record to beat is 10 pounds! 

This outfitter offers two packages, depending on whether you want all the details of your stay taken care of or prefer to do everything yourself. Whether visiting with family, your significant other or with fishing buddies, it’s the ideal place to get away in nature and make some great catches this season!

American-style fishing package: leave the planning in expert hands

Of the two main options, the American package, offered from beginning of May to beginning of July, handles all the details.

It includes cottage, boat and engine rental, gas and cleaning of your catches, along with three meals a day at La Sablière, the outfitter’s fine dining restaurant. Breakfast is served starting at 6:30 a.m., lunch is packed into a cooler for you to take along and supper is table d’hôte-style, with a starter, soup, main course and dessert, starting at 6 p.m.

It’s the perfect package for getting away from it all and having a hassle-free time. All you need to do is fish and enjoy!

European-style fishing package: create your own experience

Those who prefer to do things on their own will like the European package, available in May and June. Unlike the American package, meals and catch cleaning are not included: you’ll need to stock up on supplies before you arrive, cook or grill at your cottage and plan your days at your own pace. It’s a popular option for outdoor enthusiasts who don’t come just to fish, but want a full, hands-on forest living experience. 

It’s a great way to enjoy the tranquility of nature. Note that several of the cottages are only accessible by boat. Leave your vehicle in the parking lot at the entrance and then relax at your lakeside cottage with floating dock, with not a single neighbour in sight.
