Juste pour rire sets up in Charlevoix
From August 13 to 30, 2026, Thursday through Sunday, the complex hosts Loto-Québec fait son Juste pour rire, a completely free event that transforms the site into a lively fairground village.
Starting at 4 p.m., the atmosphere comes alive under strings of lanterns with street food, a bar and carnival-style game booths. It’s the perfect time to slow down and soak it all in.
Then, starting at 8 p.m., the Hangar opens its doors for cabaret-style comedy nights (shows in French). Mystery shows, crowd favourites, comedy club night… local comedians take the stage and the laughs are guaranteed! It’s vibrant, accessible and expertly put together.
Festive Fridays and Saturdays at Bar 21
For adults who want to keep the night going after the shows, Bar 21 is a great place to be. Every Saturday, a DJ takes over and the dance floor becomes the heart of the party. Long weekends also bring their share of special events—just to make sure no one is left hanging! It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for having fun in great company in a lively atmosphere.
Golfing at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, an experience like no other
The next morning, wake up to a view of the river and head over to the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu Golf Club for something truly special. Twenty-seven holes spread out over rolling hillsides, with sweeping views of the St. Lawrence that leave you speechless between swings. It’s one of the most award-winning courses in Canada—and you’ll see why from the moment you step onto the first greens. No need to be a seasoned golfer to enjoy it. A game of golf there is the perfect way to wrap up a stay in Charlevoix, with the fresh river breeze still on your face.
