The POP Museum

Bold and interesting for young and old, this one-of-a-kind museum in Quebec offers thematic and interactive exhibitions that highlight different aspects of Quebec popular culture. Immerse yourself in the world of old toys

Get ready to relive your childhood memories with the Let’s Collect the Toys! exhibition, which runs until January 25, 2026. Expect a wave of nostalgia as you view the treasures that 12 avid toy collectors have provided for display: Barbie, G.I. Joe, Strawberry Shortcake, Meccano, Super Mario Bros., Smurfs and more. These iconic toys from the 20th century are sure to spark tender and joyful memories. The exhibition also explores the fun of collecting in all its facets and features an interactive playroom where families can play with real toys from yesteryear, sharing a chapter of their lives with the next generation.

Accordion at the heart of Quebec music

Until January 11, 2026, the POP Museum honours an emblematic instrument in From La Bolduc to the Cowboys Fringants: The Accordion in Quebec Song, a travelling exhibition curated by the Musée de l’accordion. Learn about the accordion’s rise in popularity, from its timid beginnings to its striking presence on radio and television in the ’50s and ’60s. The exhibition also features unique pieces, such as Marie-Annick Lépine’s first instrument and Yves Lambert’s accordion. A perfect opportunity to the accordion’s important contribution to our musical heritage!

The prison world as you’ve never seen it

The In the Big House: Encounters Behind Bars exhibition lets you explore the Old Prison of Trois-Rivières, adjoining the museum. This enthralling place uses technology and authentic stories to make the daily lives of people incarcerated there in the 19th century come alive. Sound effects, projections and testimonials make the experience immersive and moving. Back at the museum, discover the In the Big House: Prisons, a Solution? exhibition, which traces the evolution of the Quebec prison system through fascinating objects, visual archives and unusual artifacts from the world of prisons.
