Parc régional Montagne du Diable
A fairytale setting for snowshoeing
Exploring the protected forest at Montagne du Diable on snowshoes means total immersion in a charming natural location. The park offers almost 80 km of trails, from easy to difficult, catering to families as well as the most seasoned hikers, even offering day or multi-day excursions including accommodations on the mountain.
On the way, an observation tour gives you the chance to admire stunning panoramas. You can also combine snowshoeing with other activities like cross-country skiing.
What’s more, dogs on a leash are welcome on the trails and in several accommodations!
A park with everything families love
At Parc régional Montagne du Diable, visitors 18 and under enjoy trails and equipment rentals—snoweshoes, skis and boots—free, which means you can get started with outdoor activities without breaking the bank. Cross-country skiing classes are also offered at affordable prices for kids and adults alike.
To experience the adventure without too much effort, take the shuttle all the way to the peak (ages 6 and up), where you can enjoy a spectacular view and a break at the Relais de la Montagne du Diable.
Last but not least, La Windie, a snowshoeing trail running along the lake and the mountain, charms visitors young and old – it’s also a good place for kicksledding.
Nordic skiing: adventure at the heart of the mountain
Want to test your limits while enjoying the tranquility of a winter forest? The park offers more than 60 km of trails exclusively reserved for Nordic skiing, practised on marked but ungroomed trails, for total immersion in nature. From energizing climbs to exhilarating descents, discover majestic landscapes far from the daily hustle and bustle.
And to extend the experience, you can plan a trip combining Nordic skiing, classic skiing and skate skiing, with overnights in mountain cabins or in the Village des Bâtisseurs sector. An amazing chance to experience an unforgettable outdoor adventure!
