Oniro, a new nighttime trail

At nightfall, the paths of the Land of Pioneers at Parc Oméga become a fairytale theatre where the story of Oniro, a young wolf lost in the forest, comes to life.

This all-new nighttime trail follows a mother wolf searching for her cub, separated from the pack in the middle of the night by a forest fire. You will accompany her on her quest, through the fascinating dreams of the other characters.

Seventeen spectacular tableaux are displayed one after the other on this immersive night walk. This hour-long activity of light projections, enchanting sets, and enthralling melodies give life to this sleeping forest.

New accommodations to sleep alongside the wolves

Sleeping near the wolves has become so popular that Parc Omega has expanded its offer of accommodations this summer.

Three new chalets have been added to the existing facilities, allowing for total immersion in the wolves’ natural habitat. With their expansive bay windows, these fully equipped chalets offer rare proximity to this iconic species and a unique chance to observe their behaviour.

Once night falls on the forest, the howls of the pack echoing in the distance unsettle the peace of the sleeping landscape and create a magical atmosphere.

New species to see up close

Another surprise awaits visitors this summer: new species have arrived, including the impressive wolverines, which have been at Parc Omega since last winter. These mammals, extremely rare in Canada and known for their legendary strength as well as their endurance in extreme conditions, play a crucial role in the northern ecosystem. Their presence adds to the park’s impressive diversity, which already includes more than 800 animals roaming freely on 2200 acres of preserved natural land.
