Fun workshops where families can create together

During the Biennal, you can learn different techniques with your little artists. Creative workshops inspired by the event's flagship exhibitions are held on weekend mornings, with extended hours during spring break. Discover linocut printing or create a watercolor painting on a lamp: the activities have been designed for both children and their parents so that everyone can express their inner artist. The workshops are also affordable, at a low price of $10 per adult and $5 per child. And for families who want to take part in the entire series, a family package is available.

A diverse program taking place all around the city

Manif d’art 12 features more than 60 artists sharing their vision of the world while revolving around a common winter-themed concept. Appealing to contemporary art enthusiasts and curious visitors alike, the Québec City Biennial program is spread across a multitude of venues and stands out for its impressive variety.

Don't miss the major Central Exhibition at Espace Quatre Cents, which brings together 18 local and international artists. The works shown there explore winter, the environment and our society—topics that are as relevant today as they are in tune with the season! In addition to the indoor exhibitions, a public art component awaits you outside. Installations, light shows, performances… Québec City becomes a veritable open-air gallery to amble through.

Satellite activities for even more inspiration

To stimulate your mind and explore different avenues, events organized by various cultural partners are added to the Biennial, for even more creativity and opportunities for reflection. Original satellite activities such as an immersive workshop or a contemplative walk take place in Québec City, but also in neighbouring cities such as Beauport and Lévis. It is also an opportunity to discover the next generation of artists with an exhibition designed by art history students from Laval University.
