Observatoire de la Capitale
From March 1 to 9, 2025, head up 200 metres in the sky to the Observatoire de la Capitale to discover special activities that will delight the whole family! The perfect outing during spring break at a special price for families!
The most beautiful view of Québec City
Located on the 31st floor of the Marie-Guyart Building, the Observatoire de la Capitale offers the most spectacular view of Québec City’s historical and natural wonders. Did you know that the Observatory is the only place where you can see all of the old city walls, the star shape of the Citadel and the immensity of the Plains of Abraham? In the winter, the landscape becomes a white canvas and the St. Lawrence River sweeps over it in all its glory, joined by the meandering Saint-Charles River and the distant Laurentians. You can also take advantage of guided visits to discover the area and the city’s history on a deeper level.
An interactive adventure for young explorers
Spring break is a time for fun and games at the observatory with an interactive circuit specially designed for small adventurers. This experience perfectly combines learning and fun with a fascinating questionnaire that guides kids to explore the area. To stimulate their imaginations even further, a games and drawing table has been set up, where they can participate in a drawing contest inspired by the beauty of the wintry city. They even have the chance to win a prize!
An immersive experience at your own pace
The observatory has enriched its offerings with two new audio guided circuits included in your ticket. The first, Plongée panoramique, will take you on a journey through the history of Québec City exploring the historical sites and iconic places that make it famous. The second, Perspective insolite, invites you to discover current trends, unique characters from each neighbourhood and the city’s most modern attractions. Accessible from your smartphone and your headphones, this immersive experience allows you to explore the city at your own pace, all while admiring the captivating panoramic views that reach out as far as the eye can see.
The observatory is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and kids under 6 get in free. Reserve your tickets early to make sure you don’t miss this experience! Get your tickets ahead of your visit online.
