Destination Salaberry-de-Valleyfield
Play in the sand at Parc des Îles-de-Saint-Timothée
Located in the midst of nature, the beach at the Îles-de-Saint-Timothée regional park is a true paradise for family fun in the sun. The golden sand and clear water will make you want to go for a dip and play in the sand. While the children are enjoying the playground or building a sandcastle, parents can relax in the shade or have a bite at the snack bar.
In the mood for a little adventure? You can rent a pedal boat, kayak or other watercraft to explore the calm waters of the basin. If you’re feeling curious, you can even paddle between the islands on your own watercraft.
Have a picnic on the water
For something a little different, why not take the family on a cruise on beautiful Saint-François Lake? You can have friendly captain Ron from Nautic Tour take you out or rent a pontoon at Location des Quatre-Lacs (a day permit can be issued on-site).
Before you climb aboard, don’t forget to stock up on picnic food at La Petite Grange or Petit Pois, two creative sandwich shops known for their delicious homemade products. Then, get comfortably seated, get out your picnic items and have a lovely meal to the sound of the lapping waves, in a peaceful and enchanting natural setting.
Extend the fun by staying at Hôtel MOCO
Tempted to stay a little longer? Treat yourself to a night at the historic Hôtel MOCO in downtown Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. With its Hébergement et plage (bed and beach) package, you get access to the Parc des Îles-de-Saint-Timothée beach without needing a reservation, in addition to getting a discount at the entrance.
After a day of swimming and sunshine, relax in an inviting, elegantly decorated room, with a breathtaking view of Saint-François Lake. And since everything is within walking distance, you can stroll through the downtown area to discover the many shops and restaurants.
And since one day just isn’t enough, make the most of your getaway by cooling off at the Delpha-Sauvé Park aquatic facilities, exploring the LEGO Architecture exhibition at the MUSO – Musée de Société des Deux-Rives, and tasting local delights from nearby producers and restaurants.
