From August 8 to 17, 2025, the International Balloon Festival, the largest hot air balloon festival in the country, fills the sky with colour over Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. In addition to the spectacular hot air balloon flights, the festival boasts an enviable musical lineup, with internationally renowned artists and rising stars performing on a huge outdoor stage. The many carnival rides, games and family activities are sure to please the younger crowd while rekindling childlike joy in older festival-goers.

Attend cultural events held as part of Un été Show

All summer long, the streets and parks of Vieux-Saint-Jean come alive during Un été Show (A Summer Show), a series of free events that showcase culture from July 3 to August 24.

There are activities for all tastes and ages: salsa dancing, tribute concerts, movie night, fun performances for families and outdoor line dancing classes. Every day brings new surprises! Check the schedule to be sure not to miss a thing.

Be transported back to the 50s at the Park Lane Café

If you like retro décor, vintage cars and shows tinged with nostalgia, you’ll want to take a detour to the Park Lane Café! This theme park in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu recreates a 1950s atmosphere down to the smallest detail, with its snack counter, colourful bar, and barn filled with yard sale treasures.

On Friday evenings until September 26, 2025, the site comes alive during vintage car and truck shows. The games, entertainment and musical performances will also give you a blast from the past!
