Taking care of the environment: a constant concern for Bleu Lavande
Respecting nature and biodiversity is one of Bleu Lavande's core values, and the company works hard every day to take action on environmental issues. Initiatives already in place include the use of natural, pesticide-free fertilizers, a rainwater harvesting system, and bulbs that reduce light pollution. What's more, for every bar of soap sold, Bleu Lavande makes a donation to Bee City Canada, an organization dedicated to protecting pollinators.
And that's not all! Bleu Lavande is also putting in place several initiatives for the current year, such as the addition of a sustainable development panel to its interpretation centre, and the installation of swallow nest boxes, bat shelters and an insect hotel to help preserve pollinators. In addition, over 300 lavender plants have been offered free of charge to regional tourist accommodations to promote the preservation of pollinators!
