The Mangeons local open-house event organized by the Union des producteurs agricoles (UPA) is back after a two-year hiatus, with a brand new format that allows farms to open their doors at the time when their produce is in season. Participating Quebec farms, located in all regions of the province, will be opening to visitors between mid-July and mid-September. Plenty of educational activities

Do you want to better understand the process of how food ends up at the grocery store and all the way onto your plate? This open-house event is your opportunity to do just that while learning about the challenges faced by those in the agricultural industry. In addition, you and your family will enjoy the various festive activities, which will vary depending on the farm you’ll be visiting. On the menu: animal-watching, workshops, entertainment, picking-your-own fruits and vegetables and tastings of local products. You’ll even have the unique opportunity to visit farms that are not usually open to the public, such as dairy or animal farms.
