The 33rd edition of the Francos, an iconic music festival celebrating French-language music, will be held from June 10 to 18 in Montreal. Packed with live performances and crowds of passionate fans, this nine-day event will host talented artists such as 2Frères, Lisa LeBlanc, Damien Robitaille, Eddy de Pretto, Lynda Lemay and Clara Luciani. For more information on the performances, visit the Francos website.

This year’s edition will be dedicated to Karim Ouellet, a loyal friend of the Francos who will be honoured during the festivities.

A colourful evening with Pierre Lapointe

On Sunday, June 12, the vivacious Pierre Lapointe will perform his latest album L’heure mauve in the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts. This album was inspired by Nicolas Party : L’heure mauve, an exhibit presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In addition, the opening act will perfectly echo Lapointe’s eclectic vibe with a performance by artist LUMIÈRE (aka Étienne Côté). This incredible show is something you don’t want to miss!

A return performance by veteran MC Solaar

On Friday, June 17, legendary French-Chadian rapper Mc Solaar will perform in the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts. A true pioneer of his genre, MC Solaar will present New Big Band Project, a nostalgic ode to the groove of the early 2000s. During his performance, the rapper will also be joined by over forty talented musicians.

An exclusive concert performed by Ariane Moffatt

On Saturday, June 11, enjoy Ariane Moffatt’s concert titled Incarnat at the Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts—a performance exclusively for this year’s Francos! The singer-songwriter will be joined by a 10-piece string orchestra for this special event. The show’s opening act will be performed by Étienne Coppée, folk artist and winner of the 2021 Francouvertes, giving audiences a soft, melodic performance to kick off the night.
