How would you like to explore the largest
railway museum in the country this holiday season? Exporail, the
Canadian Railway Museum invites you to climb aboard several of
the vehicles on display, as well as take a ride on a model railroad
or a passenger train. And get ready to experience the magic of the
holidays and reconnect with your inner child!
From November 25 to January 3, Exporail
Christmas, and can't-miss event for the whole family that brings you the magic of the season with
decorated trains, special activities and even an appearance from Santa Claus. Kids can go to the craft workshop where
they will create their own Christmas tree ornament. They’ll also get
to express their creativity and tempt their sweet tooth with a
Christmas cookie decorating activity. Participants will receive a
gingerbread cookie and everything they need to make it look festive.
Upon entering the Grand Gallery, visitors will immediately be immersed in the holiday atmosphere with decorated vehicles, illuminated locomotives and an elves' sleigh. Christmas stockings will be hidden throughout the vehicles, so be sure to keep your eyes open to spot them!
A small electric train under the 12-foot tall tree in the Grand Gallery is sure to pique the curiosity of visitors, who will want to head to the model train room to see the two operating systems.
Children will be able to send their letter to Santa Claus in the mail-express car and meet him on Saturdays and Sundays, from December 4 to December 18, 2022 in the Grand Gallery, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Railway
Christmas is also a chance to board the Christmas
Train! Kids will also get to meet Santa Claus on the train on November
26 and 27 and on December 3.
And don’t forget to bundle up in your warmest winter wear for a
ride on the Miniature Railway outside!

This new exhibit, Train, a Railroad to Dreams: A World in Miniature is dedicated to model trains: a game that replicates the
