How would you like to explore the largest
railway museum in the country this holiday season? Exporail, the
Canadian Railway Museum invites you to climb aboard several of
the vehicles on display, as well as take a ride on a model railroad
or a passenger train. And get ready to experience the magic of the
holidays and reconnect with your inner child!
From November 19 to January 3, Exporail
Christmas and brings you the magic of the season with
decorated trains, illuminated locomotives and an elves’ sled in the
Grand Gallery. Keep your eyes open and spot the Christmas stockings
hidden inside the vehicles! And don’t miss the enchanting model
Kids can go to the craft workshop where
they will create their own Christmas tree ornament. They’ll also get
to express their creativity and tempt their sweet tooth with a
Christmas cookie decorating activity. Participants will receive a
gingerbread cookie and everything they need to make it look festive.
Christmas is also a chance to board the Christmas
Train! Kids will get to meet Santa Claus on the train on November
27 and 28 and on December 4, and mail their wish list in the
mail-express car. Santa will also be appearing in the Grand
Gallery on Saturdays and Sundays between December 5 and 19.
Many other activities are on the agenda,
including a visit of the Saskatchewan Car decorated in the style
of a Victorian Christmas, and a viewing of The Trolley which
looks back at the fabulous story of this mode of transportation.
And don’t forget to bundle up in your warmest winter wear for a
ride on the Miniature Railway outside!

Dreams exhibit presented at the Pointe-à-Callière
museum, catch a portion of it at Exporail starting December 19.
This new exhibit, Train, a Railroad to Dreams: A World in Miniature running at Exporail until September 5, 2022
will be dedicated to model trains: a game that replicates the
reality of railroads. A hundred model trains will be on display,
some of which are copies of iconic vehicles. Visitors will also
enjoy a foray into the world of train enthusiasts and
