From July 28 to August 5, don’t miss the summer’s must-see musical event in Gaspésie: the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée! This popular festival spotlights French-language music with an always impressive lineup highlighting new talent in the industry. Against a spectacular backdrop, get ready to sing, dance and celebrate alongside thousands of other festival-goers during 10 days of unique artistic performances.

The festival is turning 40!

Can you believe the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée has been touching the hearts of artists, artisans and festival-goers alike for 40 years now? For the anniversary edition, the festival will have performances by guest artists Richard Séguin and Florent Vollant, as well as a stellar lineup featuring a variety of Indigenous artists and more. With regular festival favourites like Patrice Michaud and Vincent Vallières, rising stars like Luciole and Luan Larobina, and tons of other shows, the 2023 lineup is sure to blow you away!

When visiting Petite-Vallée, discover the wonderful podcast series Prendre l’air et la chanson. Listen to stories and facts about Petite-Vallée’s cultural history as you travel along a magnificent route, starting from the sites in town to the top of Mount Didier. In addition to learning about the town’s musical past, you’ll also have the chance to admire Petite-Vallée’s incredible beauty. While you can certainly listen to the podcast at home, you might just want to visit Gaspésie after listening to an episode or two!

In celebration of its 40-year anniversary, the festival will also feature a new series of performances. Les haltes du littoral presents intimate musical performances in some of the most picturesque spots in the region. Be it on a covered bridge, at the top of a cliff, in a fishing harbour or other unique locations, you’ll hear music from a variety of artists. Whether you’re a fan of Jeanne Coté’s warm, immersive folk, Velours Velours’ tasty pop, or Véronique Bilodeau’s passionate pop-folk, these performances will certainly delight you!
