Celebrate the arts in a breathtaking setting at the Festival Musique du Bout du Monde

From August 5 to 8, the 17th edition of the Festival Musique du Bout du Monde (FMBM) will take place on the Gaspé Peninsula. Big-name and up-and-coming artists will be performing on four main sites, each one is a setting more superb than the last.

Among the main artists at the FMBM will be Bleu Jeans Bleu, socially-involved artist Sarahmée and neoclassical music composer Simon Leoza. As it has in previous years, the festival features a perfect balance of emerging artists, crowd-pleasers and local performers from Gaspésie.

Activities at all hours for all tastes

Do you want to be part of a unique adventure? A sunrise show at Cap-Bon-Ami in Forillon National Park is scheduled for 4:45 a.m. on August 8. Blues- and afrofolk-inspired artist Ilam will start the day by singing in four languages.

Late nights at L’Arche on the Loto-Québec Stage on August 5, 6 and 7 are for night owls. Performances by artists TEKE::TEKE, Original Gros Bonnet and Gab Bouchard begin at 10:30 p.m.

There will also be happy hour performances at the top of Mount Béchervaise in a spellbinding setting. The ski lift will take the audience to the top.

The Journées du Bout du Monde on the site adjacent to the Éveil collectif arch offers free activities, including shows, a family area and street arts. Festival-goers will also be invited to travel to the Grand Gaspé area to discover the sound installations of internationally renowned artist France Jobin.
