MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE
Watch Montreal transform into a circus!

Streets of downtown Montreal will be transformed into a big top for this year’s MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE, which will be accompanied by an all-new original flagship project. Performances, games, music, sounds, and lights will fill the streets of Montreal this summer, offering festival-goers a dazzling, surprising, inviting, unusual, and unifying experience. Exceptionally talented artists will bring excitement to the downtown area during the festival, giving visitors—and office workers—the excitement they’ve missed so much over the last two years. This summer, come and enjoy this thrilling cultural celebration, an event that truly attests to Montreal’s reputation as the international capital of circus arts!

Three giant siblings!

From July 7 to 17, 2022, three 50-foot-high steel arches made to resemble giants will be on display at three locations in downtown Montreal: Les Jardins Gamelin, Esplanade PVM, and Parc Vinet near Atwater Market. The torsos and heads of the 3GIANTS will feature lighting and technology, creating unique identities for these impressive structures. The giants’ immense bodies will form spectacular structures, creating a stage for innovative performances that will surely amaze those lucky enough to witness them. Each giant structure will hold two performances daily (excluding Mondays) at 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., for a total of 60 free outdoor performances.

Three giants, three shows

Under each giant, three different shows will take place, all inspired by Quebec’s rich culture, and the timeless works of artists such as Gilles Vigneault, Leonard Cohen, Oscar Peterson, Jean-Paul Riopelle, and many more. Each show will pay tribute to the human body, bringing warmth and sensuality, and breathing life into these giants. This awe-inspiring, fun-filled event is something you don’t want to miss!

All in good company

The 3GIANTS are brought to audiences courtesy of three renowned and well-established circus companies, including Cirque Éloize, which has promoted Quebec culture internationally for 28 years; The 7 Fingers, a collective that has been constantly evolving for the past 16 years; and Machine de cirque, a Québec City-based company that incorporates amazing feats, poetry, intelligence and humour into its shows.

In addition to its flagship event, MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE also has an exciting and diverse lineup of indoor shows on the menu. This eventful 13th edition of MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE is hosting major new events that herald the long-awaited return of international artists to Montreal.
