The 42nd edition of the world's largest jazz festival will take place from June 30 to July 9 in Montreal. Over these ten days, you'll find legends of jazz and related music genres at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, and you'll discover great local and international emerging artists. There really is something for every taste and budget! In fact, in total, there will be over 300 concerts, 2/3 of which are free.

Tash Sultana opens the show

Australian multi-instrumentalist and performer Tash Sultana is impressive on stage. They manage to entertain crowds while performing solo! During their last visit to Montreal in 2018, this talented artist had notably sold out the Place Bell venue in Laval. For all these reasons, the festival organizers wanted Tash Sultana to perform at the free opening event on June 30th at 9:30 p.m. on the TD Stage at the Place des festivals.

Retro meets contemporary

You're probably familiar with the hit song S.O.B which has been getting a lot of play on radio stations and music platforms since its release in 2015. This song is by the band Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, which will be performing on the TD Stage at the Place des festivals for the special Rio Tinto event. Dance and sing along with the band for free at this show held on July 5 at 9:30 p.m!

The Roots’ legendary hip hop to close the festival with a bang

The big closing event will be provided by The Roots: one of the most impressive bands to see on stage! The Roots are also known for being the house band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. You will have the chance to see them perform for free on July 9th on the TD Stage also at Place des Arts at 9:30pm.

Get your show tickets right now and check out the concerts available on the website. Passes are also available for jazz enthusiasts who don't want to miss a thing, as well as membership packages.
