Offering an exceptional showcase for Quebec creators, the Yvonne L. Bombardier Cultural Centre is a special meeting place for visual arts lovers. Located in Valcourt, in the Eastern Townships, the centre offers a rich program of cultural and educational activities for all ages to discover artists through different techniques and art forms. Painting, sculpture, photography and collage are just a few of them, but there is much more to explore... With each exhibition, new surprises await you!

Admire nature through art

This summer, nature is in the spotlight with À l'origine, an exhibition featuring the work of artists Ghislaine Riendeau, Luc Pelletier and a local duo, Zoné Vert, formed by Christine Juillard and Michel Bachelet. Presented until August 29, 2021, this exhibition shows how respect for nature and the human footprint on it unite the artists' work. For a deeper experience, guided tours are offered every Wednesday and Sunday to learn more about the artists' approaches.

If you want to discover this magnificent exhibition from another angle, you can take part in the find-and-seek game, offered until August 15. Ideal for families, this game takes you on a more playful tour of the exhibition and lets you see aspects of the works that you might not have noticed otherwise.

A happy mix of the outdoors and culture

The cultural centre is surrounded by a splendid park. As you walk along the paths, you will learn about its history through various anecdotes by snapping pictures of the QR codes set up along your path with your smartphone. Learn about how the park started, the architecture of the cultural centre, the outside artwork and some of the tree species. By the way, did you know that 155 silver maples were planted to form a belt around the park's grounds in 1968? One thing is for sure, you can look forward to lots of discoveries thanks to this new activity! And if the weather is nice, bring a picnic along!
