Festival International Nuits d’Afrique
Festival International Nuits d’Afrique

Celebrating 35 years of music at the Festival International Nuits d’Afrique

A reflection of world music – current, plural and without borders – the Festival international Nuits d’Afrique is always... exciting, intoxicating, festive and full of dance! This year, Corneille, a well-known singer-songwriter on Canadian and international scenes, will be the spokesperson for this anniversary edition.

Celebrate the music of Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America from July 6 to 18 with a hybrid program. In addition to indoor shows, the Festival offers the public a unique experience on the outdoor site at Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles. Digital and immersive projections will be premiered and a sound and light show will be projected on the building of the Maison Symphonique de Montréal concert hall. Two additional events will also be presented via webcast to highlight the presence of international artists.

Explore new tracks for Exporail’s 60th anniversary!

Need a nice distraction? This summer, explore Canada's largest railway collection at Exporail! Immerse yourself in the lifestyle of travellers of the past by climbing aboard the vehicles displayed in the Grand Gallery of the Angus Pavilion.

For 2021, visitors are invited to explore new paths in a safe environment, accessible to all. Exporail has also developed new digital tools to extend the visit, on site or at home!

This summer, take part in Imagine the train of the future, a creative activity for kids ages 6 to 12. Enjoy this fascinating trip back in time at Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, in Saint-Constant, in the Montérégie region.

MONTREAL CiRQUE FESTIVAL, which usually offers performances all over Montreal, will hold its 12th edition from July 8 to 18, 2021, with the presentation of seven major shows indoors, under the big top, in the gardens and on the terrace of Cirque du Soleil's international headquarters!

Buzzing with entertainment, with "bubbles" for picnics and BBQ served at the tables, the MULTICOLORED ZONE promises a festive circus experience. A place for long-awaited get-togethers and a celebration of life to be shared!

Animals in the spotlight at the Royal 22e Régiment Museum

Good news: the Citadelle of Québec - Royal 22e Régiment Museum has reopened! A great idea for a summer outing, as this national historic site combines beautiful scenery and architecture with fun activities for the whole family. Three hundred years of military history to discover through exciting exhibitions!

Opération Paws and Boots is a special exhibition dedicated to the young public featuring anecdotes and testimonies. Discover all kinds of companions that make life in the military more enjoyable; animals provide assistance, keep soldiers company and sometimes... annoy them. This touching, surprising and amusing exhibit brings you stories and games: a great way to learn while having fun.

Starting June 24, the outdoor tour will also be back. Dive into the secrets of the fortress at your own pace, as you follow the itinerary. Guides will be present throughout your journey to provide additional information and make your experience more fulfilling.
