This Spring Break, the Charlevoix Museum and the Charlevoix Maritime Museum have exhibits that are fun for the whole family. Another great activity: an evening of astronomy at Charlevoix’s observatory for some star-gazing or a visit of the astronomy exhibit, Balade à la vitesse de la lumière, at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu.
Les Sources Joyeuses is an outdoor centre that welcomes you with open arms. Located at the heart of the Charlevoix crater, this is where you can choose your favourite activity among cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sliding, skating and hiking. The family trails are excellent for beginners and let the whole family have a great time together. If you’d like to spend several days in the region, the Mirador chalets offer exceptional accommodations and an unequalled view of the crater and the St. Lawrence.

L’Hivernal de Baie-Saint-Paul, created by the famous Le Festif! music event, will be held February 12 to 14. This gathering celebrates local music and artists from all over the planet with shows on late evenings in the region’s cultural centres. Don’t miss it on Saturday February 14, when families are welcome to take part in a snow-sculpting activity. Reserve your block of snow and let your creativity run wild.
For an extraordinary tribute to the beauty of winter in Charlevoix, the Ode à l’hiver fireworks show will be presented on February 21. It will be happening in the Pointe-au-Pic sector of La Malbaie, where the ice-strewn river creates the perfect background for a magical evening.
