Did you know that the “P’tit Train du Nord” train is the longest linear park in Canada? If you’re a bike enthusiast and you haven’t yet discovered this path, hurry up and put it on your list for this summer! The Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts train station is a great starting point to embark on your exploration of this famous cycling path that stretches 232 km (144 mi.). To make the best of your getaway, plan a stay at a uniquely charming inn where you can relax after a magnificent bike ride.

Pedal through the woods

Following the old railway between Bois-des-Filions and Mont-Laurier, the linear park takes you through picturesque villages and along many lakes and rivers to see incredibly beautiful landscapes of valleys and mountains. Cyclists who love long journeys can park their cars at the very beginning of the trail (in St-Jérôme) and get a lift from the shuttle to their desired location, from which they can then bike back down. A luggage transportation service is also offered for a slight extra cost.

The Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts train station is one of the many heritage stations you will find along the bike trail where cyclists can stop off for a break. It is also a spot where travellers can leave their cars. Built in 1902, it presents particularly interesting architecture.
