All bike paths lead to Gatineau!
This summer, the Outaouais invites you to pedal through incredible places for a beautiful adventure. The city of Gatineau is close to the heart of many cyclists: they come for the diversity of the urban landscape and natural areas that vary along the network of bike paths. Once you reach the region, leave the car parked away and take your bike out to discover the sights.

Go from the city to the woods!

The network of bike paths in Gatineau combines urban and countryside scenery and is lined with striking points of view and inviting restaurant patios. It is also connected to the Ottawa bike network thanks to five bridges that stretch across both shores. Follow the Ottawa River, and at the end of the day, you’ll be treated to a magnificent sunset at the Aylmer Marina. Visitors who love long rides can also continue their expedition on the Trans Canada Trail and the Route verte network. And for mountain bikers, head up to Gatineau Park.

Circuits designed for families

The tourism department of the Outaouais has tailored many themed circuits for cyclists. The Family Cycling in the City circuit starts off at the Canadian Children’s Museum, where you get to travel the world through 30 display modules. Next on the list is Altitude Gym, an indoor climbing park where you can unleash your inner monkey in a safe environment. When you need a break, bike to the Saint-Éloi Café Bistro overlooking Leamy Lake, and then bring the day to a close on the beach. And remember that you can also veer off course whenever you feel like it!

Renting a bike is the ultimate freedom

Don’t have a way to carry your own bike? Renting one on site is an affordable option! In Gatineau, VeloGo is a bike sharing service that is ideal for trips of just a few hours and its bikes can be found at the region’s key spots. There's also the Maison du Vélo in the Jacques-Cartier Park that carries bikes, tandem bikes and enclosed child trailers that you can rent for a full day. Take the opportunity to discover Gatineau on two wheels during your vacation in the Outaouais region.
