With the holidays around the corner, the Eastern Townships welcome you with flurries of activities for the season. Just like at any time of the year, this wonderful region is perfect for a getaway that stimulates all of your senses. Early December invites you to take the time to break from your routine and let Christmas work its magic. December 25 is just days away – time to get into the spirit of the holidays!

Christmas and traditions go hand in hand

Learn more about traditions at home and around the globe and bring your children to discover how Christmas was celebrated in the old days at the Société d’Histoire de Sherbrooke. Families will be thrilled to explore the brand new Flocons, fous rires et père Noël exhibition that features various artifacts, period photographs and more. Make it a pre-Christmas or after-Christmas activity since the exhibit is presented until late January.

Go on an enchanting gourmet trip

Climb aboard the Orford Express tourist train and discover a welcoming decor and succulent menus. Kids are also invited to join in the celebration! On weekend afternoons until December 18, treats, warm beverages and surprises are to be expected, not to mention a meeting with Santa Claus! The Orford Express is also an excellent choice for a brunch, lunch or dinner with friends and an opportunity to admire the snowflakes and extend your best wishes.
