Climb aboard the river shuttle

Take the river shuttle connecting Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue to Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot and explore these two towns. Shuttles will be in operation on the following Saturdays: July 16, August 6, and September 17. For more information, visit the “River Shuttle” section on the town’s website.

After your aqua-voyage, take a stroll on the boardwalk that runs along the canal, enjoy a delicious meal on the terrace of a local restaurant, and even visit the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Canal National Historic Site and its lock. Meet local artisans and producers at the Marché Sainte-Anne, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you want to get back out on the water, head over to Paddle Mac and try a paddleboard or kayak of your choosing.

Enjoy events for the whole family

Are you a garlic lover? This small and strong tasting (and smelling!) vegetable has its very own celebration in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue: The Garlic Festival! Organized by the Marché Sainte-Anne, this festival is the perfect opportunity to learn about the various types of garlic, and ways to use it—and even stock up on garlic for your favourite recipes! This year’s festival will take place on August 27.

During your visit, attend Naturally Sainte-Anne, an event that will educate the whole family about the importance of taking care of Quebec’s flora and fauna. During this nature festival, you’ll have the chance to participate in various workshops and visit the eco-friendly market on site (don’t forget your reusable bags). This year’s festival will be held on September 10.

Attend free shows every Wednesday night

From June 29 to August 30, enjoy free music performances on the Promenade du canal, every Wednesday starting at 7:30 p.m. No need to reserve—simply bring a blanket or folding chair, sit with your friends or on your own, and enjoy beautiful music and weather! To mix things up, you can enjoy the performances over dinner or drinks on a nearby terrace.
