For a delicious trip to Portneuf!

Are you passionate about food tourism? You’re in luck, because Portneuf is full of unique and tasty products made by businesses rooted in the region. Their exceptional products, grown with passion, are showcased in the culinary creations of Portneuf restaurateurs. This is why the municipality of Portneuf and a group of agri-food partners have put together an event called La Virée Enracinée.

From July 1 to September 4, 2022, for the 2nd edition of La Virée Enracinée, participating restaurants invite you to eat local and discover the food of Portneuf. A diversity of dishes can be on site, of as take-out meals that are perfect for a delicious picnic complemented by the magnificent scenery of Portneuf!

Leave your cares behind and follow the road

In Portneuf, the Chemin du Roy runs along the mighty St. Lawrence River, offering breathtaking panoramic views and must-see stops to discover beautiful villages and local artisans. The 76-km section of the road that goes across Portneuf allows you to explore one of the most undisturbed parts of this route; the landscape bears the traces of the seigniorial regime, both in the built heritage and in the way the territory was occupied.

Along the way, you can drop by many cultural and heritage tourist attractions. The Auberge de l'Ouest invites you to stay in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Quebec. Les Voies du Sacré is a route that features some of the oldest architectural and religious art treasures in Quebec. Finally, the Deschambault Public Market is a must-see on Saturdays during the summer to taste the know-how of Portneuf producers. In short, a route with history, food and more!
