Dust off your skiing gear if you haven’t already done so and head to the major ski stations in the Townships! After all the parties of the holiday season, you probably feel like moving on to other things and having fun outside. To celebrate the beginning of the year, this region invites you to barrel down the slopes at these four mountains: Sutton, Bromont, Owl’s Head and Orford. Now it’s easier than ever to try them all this winter, and at a great price to boot!

Get the Ski dans l’Est passport

Sports enthusiasts who want the most complete ski experience in the Townships will find that the best way to get it is with the Ski dans l’Est passport. Sold online for $25, it allows you to get 25% off lift tickets at the four ski resorts. In addition, some hotels, as well as the Bolton Spa, offer discounts to passholders. Vaid at all times during the 2015-2016 season, and even during statutory holidays, the passport lets you discover the unique character of each mountain and each trail.

Owl’s Head is blowing out 50 candles

A favourite of skiers and snowboarders, this mountain in Mansonville now caters to a new breed of athletes. Backcountry skiers will be thrilled to explore the east side of Owl's Head. There’s also a vast area where skiers can test out their equipment before going on longer expeditions. Because the mountain is over 330 metres high (over 1,000 feet), skiers can easily slide down two or three times per day. To close up the season, on Saturday March 26, there will be a fireworks show commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Canadian Ski Patrol. Other events will be announced throughout the winter.
