Answer #4: The Saguenay floods happened in 1996.It was in July of that year that one of the most significant natural disasters in the history of Canada occurred. After three days of rain, the dikes and dams protecting the city of Chicoutimi failed to contain the volume of water coming from the river. Many houses were destroyed, but the little white house built in 1890 pictured above stood nearly unharmed. In 2005, it was repurposed into a museum. To find out more, click here.
