When it’s time to plan a family vacation, the Eastern Townships have everything you need! Spend the weekend skiing at one of the region’s four main ski centres and take the opportunity to introduce your children to the sport if this is their first time. The Eastern Townships become the perfect playground for your little ones! And don’t miss out on your chance to do some snowshoeing and attend the winter festivals.

Slopes as Far as the Eye Can See

In the Townships, there are trails and classes for all levels. Intro courses are available for beginners while more advanced courses are designed for those who would like to perfect their technique or learn new tricks. If the members of your family have been downhill skiing practically since before they knew how to walk, Mont Sutton invites you to try Telemark skiing or snow scooting.

The ski centres in the Townships and their ski schools know how to adapt to all levels of skiers. Mont Orford offers many skiing workshops and a slalom course at its Rossignol high-performance academy. If you have teens who mastered skiing a long time ago, they might be interested in the pre-instructor classes offered at Ski Bromont. At Owl’s Head, novices get a refresher course with the Back on Boards program.

Explore the Park under the Stars

For a really exceptional evening, Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, renowned for its magnificent Dark Sky Reserve, invites you to join a two-hour snowshoeing trek on a torchlit trail. Delight in nature on a peaceful winter night during this experience that also includes a healthy dinner and an evening of astronomy. Family rates are available.
