After a lovely winter filled with activities, it’s time for the tree buds, blooming flowers and mild temperatures to take their place, ushering in the return of car rides, bike trips and cruises. Hop on one of the tourist trails in the Eastern Townships, pick up the official cycling map or reserve your seat for a gourmet cruise on Lake Memphremagog on board the Grand Cru cruise boat.

Set out on the Tourist Trails

There are three signposted tourist routes to be explored in the Eastern Townships. The Wine Route lets aficionados into the 21 vineyards of the Brome-Missisquoi sector as they sample household wines. Another route is designed for history buffs, who will be thrilled to learn about and admire the region’s natural and built heritage while they follow the Townships Trail. The third route is the Summit Drive, which totals almost 120 miles (193 km) and invites visitors travelling by car, by motorcycle, on bicycle or on foot to reach the highest peaks of southern Quebec and delight in breathtaking views. Discovery panels sprinkle your adventure with historical and geographical tidbits along the way.
