Don’t forget to include a day at the zoo!

At the Granby Zoo in the winter, visitors get to see more than 90% of the animals at a fraction of the price of admission in the summer. This is the opportunity to check out the Amur tigers, snow leopards, Japanese macaques, wallabies and other exotic animals in a fantastic snow-covered setting! Two new features this year: visitors will get to see the lions and rhinoceros for the first time in winter and explore the activity course on the African Trail. Have fun at the Winter Village, too, where you’ll find slides, a maze and giant games, as well as themed presentations given by animal care technicians.

Enjoy the outdoors…

The Parc national de la Yamaska is a large playground that is ideal for practising fatbike, beginners and experts alike! Head out on two wheels and make your way to the 19 km (11.8 mi.) bike path that loops around the lake – one of the longest fatbiking trails in the region. You can even take advantage of bike rentals, which are free for riders ages 17 and under!

Located near Granby’s downtown area, the Les Cèdres Golf Course stays open in the winter and is a place for cross-country skiing and skate-style skiing. After some good exercise, warm up in the main pavilion with a delicious soup or some hot cocoa by the fire.
