A Montreal-Style Urban Tour!

When it’s time for a getaway, Montreal is a choice destination for lots of fun activities. Every day brings something new and a new part of the city to discover!

Day 1: Downtown

For a striking view of the metropolis, head up to the 360° Observatory at Place Ville Marie and see if you can spot all of the city’s landmarks. While you’re taking in the panoramic view, enjoy bistro fine dining at Les Enfants Terribles on its impressive rooftop patio.

Follow up with a visit of the McCord Museum to learn about life in Montreal at various periods of time. The museum focuses on the preservation and appreciation of the city’s social and cultural history, from its beginnings to the present day. It is home to one of the largest collections of objects, artifacts, archives and photographs in North America and features several temporary exhibitions every year.

Feel like doing something a bit more active? Why not go for a spin (or two!) around the indoor skating rink at Atrium le 1000. The temperature is always just right, and you can take advantage of the skate rental service and grab a bite at one of the food court’s many restaurants. Enjoy the casual ambience and upbeat music while you get some exercise!

Day 2: In and around the Quartier des spectacles

Located on the fifth floor of the Eaton Centre mall, the Grévin Museum is great fun and displays the wax likenesses of more than 120 local and international celebrities. Snap a few selfies next to the statues of your favourite stars, placed in fabulous settings!

Spend a distinguished evening at Le Balcon Cabaret Music-Hall, located at the heart of the Quartier des spectacles entertainment district. Mixing elements of a New-York-style cabaret and a Parisian dinner-theatre, Le Balcon specializes in dinner-shows and a variety of live music acts presented in a suave atmosphere. Check it out and get your tickets online – you’re in for a wonderful time!

Day 3: The Old Port

Start the day on a soothing note at Bota Bota. This magnificent spa is located on a boat anchored to the Old Port of Montreal and is an amazing place to go to for a moment of pure bliss.

Continue exploring the metropolis thanks to Montréal en Histoires, a mobile app that brings you on a tour of the tourist attractions in Old Montreal. The app lets you access more than one hundred descriptions, augmented reality features and multimedia content as you stroll along the cobblestone streets.

The dinner-cruises offered by Bateau-Mouche and AML Cruises are quintessential Montreal activities that let you admire the cityscape from the river as you relax on the water and treat yourself to the best in fine dining.

Its many attractive features make it a favourite of families, couples and groups of friends. Visit the Biosphère, environment museum, have a blast at the La Ronde amusement park or simply set up a picnic next to the river. The park is also the venue of a number of major festivals and concerts every year.

Finish your day with a bit of luxury and an excellent meal at Le Montréal, a seafood and grill restaurant located inside the Casino de Montréal. Get ready for an exciting night!
