Day 1: The outdoors and old-world charm – a fabulous duo!

Start the weekend off with a breath of fresh air in the heart of the Montérégie countryside. Les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare nature park offers 24 kilometres of trails for snowshoeing – breathe in that unmistakable pine forest scent, while gazing at trees adorned in cloaks of white. You could also try cross-country skiing, go for a whirl on the skating rink, or show your kids who’s truly young at heart on tubing trails.

After a busy day, gather the kids and head to Rigaud, only a few short minutes away. A unique overnight experience awaits you at the Sucrerie de la Montagne, where you'll spend the night in a genuine log cabin reminiscent of yesteryear. You can even enjoy a delicious sugar shack meal served right in your cabin! These cozy cabins also provide access to the trails of the Escapade du Mont Rigaud for a forest hike that will amaze young and old alike.

Day 2: Slope-side frolic and then, relaxation

When you’re in Rigaud, there are limitless opportunities for family fun! Mont Rigaud (also known lovingly as "Quebec’s Ski Kindergarten") is the perfect family ski centre to introduce your kids to snow sports, while also allowing experienced skiers and snowboarders to have a blast. Gentle slopes are the perfect setting to learn or perfect techniques, and the snow park is the place to be for teens hunting for more thrilling snowy action. This year check out Mont Rigaud’s latest addition: a covered skiing-conveyor belt for a leisurely ride up the hill!

Phew! Two days of fun and outdoor action means you need to treat yourself to some relaxation at the Paradisos Spa. In the heart of the forest, this spa offers outdoor hot tubs, a sauna, and so many soothing yet invigorating treatments. Before heading back home, take a detour onto Rigaud's main street and explore charming restaurants and shops, where you’re sure to make great local discoveries.
