The Festival des harmonies et orchestres symphoniques du Québec takes place on the main campus of the Université de Sherbrooke and is the largest gathering of musicians in Quebec and in Canada. During the event's four days of festivities, many activities are offered: musical competitions for brass and reed bands, symphonic orchestras, stage bands and string orchestras, as well as the Concert Prestige Yamaha, which highlights internationally renowned musicians and the Expo Musique, featuring the latest in the Canadian musical industry.
