The Réserve faunique de Papineau-Labelle is found in both Outaouais and the Laurentians. For fishing lovers, this is a true delight! More than 700 lakes with at least six sport fish: smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, brook trout and lake trout. Early in spring, you can even catch some landlocked salmon! It isn’t uncommon to see turtles. The diverse vegetation makes for a perfect place to observe white-tail deer, moose and beavers, while offering attractive sites for hunting. Many grand cabins still stand testament to the time when private hunting and fishing clubs were found on the land. Magnificent old-fashioned Scandinavian-inspired cabins were recently built.
