Among the selection of lodges equipped
with only a wood-burning stove, you’ll find the Sainte Paix (The
Peace of Mind), whose name is entirely representative of the kind
of experience you can expect. Located at the heart of the sugar
bush, this lodge is the perfect headquarters from which to observe
plant and animal life. Groups of four will love the two-story Le
Ruisseau (The Brook) built on pilings at the foot of the
Serpentine Brook and rising up to the treetops. The wood-finished
interior gives it a heartwarming style. And then there’s La Grande
Ourse (The Ursa Major) in the middle of a mixed forest for special
proximity with nature. The patio is the perfect spot to enjoy some
stargazing and admire the view of the surrounding mountains.
If you’re not quite up for forgoing
electricity, find your paradise at the Sucrier (The Sugar Shack).
Located in the sugar maple forest, this two-story lodge is joined
to an authentic sugar shack and delivers countryside charm. The
Septième Ciel (Seventh Heaven) is a tall lodge with a screened
porch on the first floor and a balcony on the second and promises
lovely days and nights.
There’ll be no twiddling your thumbs
this fall! Explore the trails in the woods, the maze and the
bridges and check out the bread oven, the climbing wall for kids,
the chicken coop with a rooster, hens and turkeys, and much more!
You could also take part in the scavenger hunt or take advantage
of your visit to enter the annual photo contest. In addition, many
special events are held in nearby towns and villages.
