Have a full winter experience at a remarkable four-season resort where the focus is on fun. Located at the heart of the mountain forest of Saint-Paul-de-Montminy, Appalaches welcomes you into one of its seven large log chalets for a memorable getaway. Fine dining, Nordic baths, outdoor activities, dogsledding… this winter you have a rendezvous with nature in the lovely Chaudière-Appalaches region.

Shorter name and more pizzazz!

Does the place sound familiar? You might remember its former name: Appalaches Lodge-Spa-Villégiature. The resort is now called simply “Appalaches”, a more dynamic name to better reflect the kind of experience it offers. But not to worry: the spa is still there and free with all room and chalet rentals.

The more the merrier!

With splendid scenery, an abundance of activities and immense space, this destination is excellent for a family or group vacation. The convivial, welcoming chalets each have six rooms with two double beds and a private bathroom. If you choose to rent the entire chalet, package deals at Appalaches are based on 12-person occupancy, with bedding and dishes included.

You can also choose a package that includes a four-course table d’hôte dinner and breakfast at La Chaudière restaurant on site. Spend less time cooking and more time having fun!

Activities

The activities available at Appalaches are thrilling: snowmobile rentals (including gas, snowsuit, helmet and access to the trails), snowshoeing, ice fishing and, brand new, alpine luge.

But at Appalaches, the major highlight is definitely the fifty or so huskies bursting with energy and waiting impatiently for your visit to the kennel. And they will be more than happy to take you on your nature adventure, whether you go dogsledding, snowshoeing harnessed to a dog who will help pull you up the mountain, or snowscooting.

And you know what else? Your dog is welcome to stay at Appalaches. Bring him along so he can stretch his legs, too!
