These 361 km2 of hills and forests
create an environment of wellness. There’s no question why
Gatineau Park is a favourite with its most devoted visitors.
Boasting an ideal geographic location, the park is home to a
variety of wildlife and plants that are a pleasure to observe.
It’s also where you’ll find breathtakingly colourful sunsets!
In the Philippe Lake and Taylor Lake
sectors, you’ll find campsites
that meet your needs, either in the wooded areas, by the beach or
on the side of the lake. There are many services available as well
as a range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, canoeing
and swimming. This is truly a place where you can unwind for real!
Once you’ve pitched your tent, it’s
time for a swim! So head over to any of the three beaches
on the shores of Philippe Lake, one of which is
reserved exclusively for campers. If you prefer an activity on the
water rather than in the water, rent a canoe, kayak or stand-up
paddleboard. You could also decide to go exploring on
the hiking trails. The popular interpretation program
is an interactive way to learn more about the friendly furry and
feathered residents of the park and about the work of conservation
undertaken at Gatineau Park.
