Museum of Living Memory - Chaudière-Appalaches
A museum within everyone’s reach where people are at the core of history. Life testimonies, knowledge and know-how are the basis of exhibitions, and these evolve with the addition of visitors’ memories. The complete collection of testimonies can be consulted on the premises. Built recently so as to be faithful to the exterior look of the 18th-century Aubert de Gaspé manor house, the Museum sits in a park where nature and history are interwoven. The Anciens Canadiens footpath connects the river with the forest passing through the Garden of Souvenirs and its red-shale gravelwalk. A place which is becoming a great collective memory.
