Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie is one of Quebec’s most magnificent natural features. The park was named for a network of deep valleys cut into a range of high mountains. Steep slopes, beautiful landscapes and the Malbaie River’s unusual course make this one-of-a-kind site truly exceptional. The national park occupies a privileged location, at the core of the Charlevoix World Biosphere Reserve. This hinterland jewel can be reached via the picturesque village of Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs. One of the park rangers rides onboard the bateau-mouche (river boat) “Le Menaud” to introduce visitors to the valley’s different aspects and history. A unique experience! Photo credit:
