Bike path on the banks of the St. Lawrence River
The Lachine Canal and shores of the St. Lawrence River bike paths (Pistes cyclables du canal de Lachine, des berges) were crowned third in the world by the American magazine Time for best urban bicycle trail. Not surprising, given that the loop provides more than 30 km (18 mi) of beauty and calm with unobstructed views over Lake Saint-Louis and the renowned Lachine Rapids. On your ride, you will see the locks on Lachine Canal, Atwater Market, and many historic and heritage sites. You will also discover Parc René-Lévesque, known for its museum of outdoor sculptures and majestic view over Lake Saint-Louis, located at the intersection of the Lachine Canal and St. Lawrence River paths.
