Historical site of Kinnear's Mills
Kinnear's Mills Village Historic Site and to pay tribute to the rich cultural heritage the founders left behind. Heritage Kinnear's Mills also works to promote research and disseminate historical knowledge about the region. In summer, discover the fabulous history of the Hautes-Appalaches townships in the 19th century, a territory settled by English, Irish and Scottish people who brought with them their customs, know-how, music and way of life. Visit the Methodist, Anglican, United and Catholic churches, all located on the same corner, and learn about James Kinnear and his wife Harriett Wilson, founders determined to build a vibrant economy and community.
